Sophia Kudriavtsev is the President of the UW Animal Rights Society, a club at the University of Waterloo dedicated to raising awareness on a variety of animal rights issues. She’s a vegan, an activist and over all an incredibly kind hearted person! Part of Sophia’s job with the animal rights society is to help educate people on veganism and the ethical treatment of animals. Before we even hit the two minute mark in the interview, I had already learned SO much from Sophia. During our conversation, she talks about the importance of intersectional veganism, how the animal rights society saved her, why she’s trying to go zero waste and her volunteer work with Food Not Bombs in Kitchener.
Ellin Park is the founder of Zero Waste Bulk, a zero waste grocery store opening in Kitchener-Waterloo in 2018. In 2016, she adopted a waste-free lifestyle! The grocery store will provide package free products, plant-based foods, bulk cleaning supplies, and zero waste essentials.
